    It takes 15 machines 8 hours to complete a job.

    the machines attempt a similar job however 3 machines stop working after 6 hours.

    Work out how long the other 12 machines have to work to complete the job from the time they started (at 0 hours).

    Use this formula Time = Productivity * Number of machines.

    Find the productivity by using:

    Productivity = Time/number of machines

    You want to work this out first. Then with your new number of machines, Use the initial equation to work out the time.

    Productivity is a constant, so will be the same in both equations.

    The paper was non-calculator, so i dont think i was expected to do 8/15. I got 8.5hours, just wanted to see how other people's answers compared
