read examiners reports and mark the pps yourself so you can see where the marks are earnt.
I retook GCSE maths in 2014 and got A*. I walked out of the exam knowing I'd done well. I knew where the marks were and as I did lots of pps so knew the format of the questions and knew what the examiner wanted to see.

The top grade you can get in foundation maths is a 5 you can only get a 9 in higher tier.

You cant get a 9 from foundation can you? Unless im mistaken i thought the highest grade achievable is a 5, either way, to answer your question on getting a 9, just past papers, tons of past papers also type into google just maths 9-1 and do all the questions there, best of luck with your exams
