Hitting the post is far more difficult than beating the goalie. This can be seen in every crossbar challenge. Not only it requires a great deal of skills, it needs some luck to hit that thin metal bar.

So every time a team makes an effort to hit the post they should be given 2 goals so the scoreboard actually reflects the state of the game. Do you agree?

How about a points system and if a team gets 20 points in a game it’s an extra goal.
    Um,
Hit the woodwork 3 points ,
Corners 1point for each corner after the first 6,
    Missed penalty 2 points
    No bookings 2 points
    Shots on goal 1 point

Hmm. So if it was the Champions League semi final and it was all square over both legs with 5 minutes left and both teams were just one or two points away from a goal it would certainly increase the entertainment .
But it would change the game too much of course . Oh well .
