This guy from my college asked me out on a date the other week and I foolishly said yes because I felt bad and I didn’t want to look rude by saying no. The date is in 2 days and I’ve been worrying about it all week as I’m not interested in going. I don’t know what to do, can I cancel? Is there a way to do that without looking like a *****? I just know if I cancel he’ll want to reschedule😬 I’ve never even been on a date before so I’m extra worried about it and worried about how awkward it will be since I barely know him.

Just call him and say you've had a change of mind and don't want to go on a date with him. Don't beat around the bush, just tell him it's not something you want to do. Don't go on the date either because that's just leading him on which isn't a nice thing to do.

Someone has to be the first. Get it over and done with.

It isn't like you should be holding out and making the first person you ever date be the person you will settle down with.
