Hi I have offers at Exeter and Queen Mary for engineering and my parents are really against me going exeter saying I will be in lots of debt, but i'd rather live out and be independent. Any point I make be it the rankings or the sports (e.g. their rugby team) they just dismiss it and its really starting to stress me out. On one hand I respect my parents but at the same time I want to do whats best for me any idea on how to approach this?? and yes I am asian

Best for you imo, they dont want you to go and be away from their control.

Debt is quasi debt and 75% of studes never pay the debt off.

You could try the employment prospects if they are better? They are never going to agree imo.
