Has anyone still not heard from Durham? I applied for English in October and still haven't heard back?
Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't think anyone can help expedite your application, so I expect you're looking for reassurance instead. Language matters.

Hi! I’m in a similar boat - applied for English in October too, and I’m still waiting. Durham are known to take their time though, and they tend to release a small cohort of rejections/offers at different times (so I hear!) as some of my friends have already received their responses while others haven’t for the same course. Good luck!

Hey! That's quite reassuring to hear thank you for the reply! I know that others have received their offer as well, although it is mainly for other subjects! I believe English is a subject that is quite high in demand at Durham so I think that might play into it as well. Best of luck to you too!

Hi! I applied in Novemeber for a joint honours of English and History and am yet to hear back so I understand the frustration! I've heard that it isn't unusual and that the offer times really depend on the department but I'm now the only person at my school to have applied to Durham that hasn't hear back. Hope you get an offer soon!

Hello! Thank you for your reply! I’m also the only one to have applied at my school that hasn’t heard back yet as well! I hope you get your offer soon! Good luck!

Are we all still waiting? Going a little bit mad, haha! Realistically looking into Leeds now, which would've been my insurance, just in case!

Hey! Funnily enough, I just received my conditional offer yesterday! I'm not certain on this but I have heard from many people that Durham hand out offers in very small batches, so that could be why you haven't heard back? That being said, I totally understand what you're feeling and I'm sure you will hear back very soon! Best of luck and I'm sure you will have gotten a place!

I've been looking at the website and there is a section which provides an email address that you can contact the admissions team through to get a status update on your application. I'm personally unsure whether or not to send an email because I'm very cautious about anything affecting my admission prospects and don't want to sound like I'm rushing them. However, my other universities open their accomodation applications soon so closer to the time I'm going to email because otherwise I might not get the accomodation that I want.
