I am considering doing Civil Engineering at Imperial College. I checked Unistats website and it states that 30% of the people are unemployed 6 months after finishing the course. I don't think they count the people who are not looking for work. Is this normal or should I be worried about this and perhaps contact the uni?

It does seem quite high. It’s absolutely ok to ask universities about this sort of thing - they might be able to reassure you.
