Hi, I'm not 100% on which of these three to put as my firm/insurance choice, and I'd like some opinions from current students on what they are like in terms of living in the different cities, costs, and how happy you are there. Any help would be much-appreciated. (By the way, I live in a small town and am a little concerned about living in a big city, so if anyone has moved from a quiet area to a busy one for uni I'd also like to know how you found settling in)

I'm an Edinburgh student and I moved from a relatively small town near London. I found settling in just fine and the city itself isn't even that big, and the frequency of Lothian Buses makes it really easy to get around.

Rent prices are ridiculous in the private sector up here. Although the university does rent out home to students from 2nd year onwards, there's always a chance of not getting a place as it's done via a 'lottery' system.

I'm quite happy with the city. There are lots of touristy things to do, and the university has all the facilities I need (24/7 computer laboratories and 24/7 library service) etc.

You should really try and visit all three cities if possible.
