Bit of a random thread this but at what height would you say marks the start of "tall" for a woman?

According the cdc, the us government health website (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/series/sr_03/sr03_039.pdf - page 19 & 20) which provides studies on human health, the average female aged 20-39 is 5'4.1, however this varies depending on ethnicity and race:

    White non-Hispanic women: 5'4.9 (basically 5'5)
    Black women: 5'4.4
    Asian women: 5'2.2
    Mexican Americans: 5'2.6
    Hispanic Americans: 5'2.5

There's good evidence to suggest this is the case in the UK, where the average white British women is 5'5 (or close to it).

I was speaking to a lady who is 5'8 and thinks she is average, but 5'8 put's you close to the 85th-90th percentile, so I couldn't understand how she could feel "average" tbh.

I consider 5’9 and up tall. I’m 5’7 and feel average (though I know it isnt), I wish I was 5’8 tbh. I’m the runt of the litter in a tall family so that’s influenced me I guess. :dontknow:

I consider 5ft 7 and up tall for a woman

average british female height is 5ft 4 or 5ft 5 depending on the source. 5ft 7 is two or three inches taller than average, and as average height is 5ft 10 for males, a guy of 6ft is considered tall [at 2 inches above average height] so in terms of equality, a female 2 inches above average should also be considered tall as well

and I know how you gals love equality..........

I personally think 5'8 is getting towards tall... but I say that as someone who is 5'10 at just 15 (I'm female). I definitely feel tall!

Average height for girls is 5'4 I believe so for me anything over 5'8 would be considered tall.
