3. I haven't done the first 3 parts to follow the working BUT given tha the first stone travels 30m before hitting the ground, then you can use the time you have calculated for it to reach the ground and say that the second one must travel less than 20m in this time.

The working you've included there above looks like this is what you've done, IF the t=2 is the time you calculated for the first one to reach the ground
