I'm applying as a mature student and already study part-time. I'm applying to move to a full-time university because I know studying my degree (environmental science) will be so much better at a proper university with labs and field trips rather than from home like I'm doing now. Another reason that isn't as important but is still important to me is that if I go full-time I can get the full maintenance loan (which I've checked and am eligible for) I will only have to work one day a week rather than full-time like I do now, which I really want to do because I hate my job but can't afford to drop my hours without the maintenance loan. I was told to be really honest on my personal statement and this is quite important to me but I don't want to look like I'm only in it for the money. I just know by studying full-time and working less I will be so much happier than I am now studying part-time and working full-time because I'm miserable working so much in a job I hate.

I d stick to saying that you want the better facilities and the experience of studying full time rather than focusing on the money

I was thinking that would be best. I just know I would be so much happier studying full-time and feel like I should tell them that but I just think it would come out completely wrong like I'm looking for sympathy or for an easy option or something like that!
