I'm wanting to hear from anyone who has got into Midwifery at Uni without a science A level?

I've been asking on here and doing some research and it seems as though I may have to do an access course or a science A level when I graduate from University next year before I apply to be a midwife which is what I actually want to do (currently in 2nd year at Uni doing something else)

If its possible though I'd like to be able to apply and get on to a midwife course straight away rather than spending another year on an access course because I'll be 24 by the time I finish that!

So does anyone know how hard it really is to get in? ( I already have good GCSE's including 2 science subjects, some standard non related A-levels and will have an unrelated degree)

Hi, the best thing to do is check the entry requirements for the universities you would be looking to apply to. The university I’m study adult nursing at do not require a science a-level so it’s worth seeing if the ones you want to apply to don’t either.
Midwifery is very competitive & work or voluntary experience is highly recommended (& at some universities, required) so it’s worth looking at gaining some relevant experience in preparation for applying.
    I hope this helps.
