I’ve recently done my 2nd maths prelim and I’m really worried the I’ve failed it. I didn’t study much as I was focused on my assignments and the exam was really hard. I asked lots of people and they said it was difficult too. My teacher also keeps stressing that we all must get an A, no pressure then.

I got an A in my first prelim so if I fail does that mean that I can still do the National 5 maths exam? I really don’t want to be moved down.

Honestly do not stress over the test, as it’s done now and you can’t change the result of it. Worrying won’t change it.

You’re probably best talking to your school about it, once you’ve got the result (you may surprise yourself) because they are best to advise, as they know how much flexibility they’ve got in terms of who sits which exams.

Hi thanks for the help I managed to do better at the 2nd paper so I brought my mark up, I did better than I expected. I think I was just over reacting because I’m a perfectionist.

No problem. Well done! Nothing wrong with being a perfectionist, just make sure it doesn’t get you too down

If I can help at all in the future, just let me know
