Cambridge has a 6.3 Billion GBP for endowment, but a 1.6 Billion GBP for budget.
Are both of these part of the university's total funds?
Imperial has an endowment of 141 million GBP, but a 1 billion GBP budget.
Can anyone shed light? One has a higher budget than endowment and one has the reverse?

Think of endowment as savings, often coming from donations from former students.
Think of Budget has coming from a Universities Income, tuition fees, govt fees, rents from students and shops on campus etc
