OK...changing the topic. Imperial sent me a letter saying "At this time I am unable to confirm an offer of a place. Your application has been placed on a small reserve stack untill such time that the number of suitable applicants is clear." Has anyone else had this? I applied for Aero.
The last bit is kinda confusing. I hope eveyrthing turns out ok. When did you apply?

I think what it means is that they may be able to give out offers to people in the reserve stack if not as many people take up their offer (by the end of March) than is anticipated, or that they have made less offers than they had hoped. I think ...
Or it could just mean that you are a reserve and you are still viable for a place they just wanna see who else is applying. Best is probably to ask here on TSR if anyone has received and offer rejection after getting a similar letter yours.

Thanks. So is this also viewed a bit negativly?, because if they are waiting for other people, perhaps they are implying that if there are other people with better grades/reference/personal statment, we are going to prefer them over you. Its a bit odd in my oppinion, if you see where im getting at. Why cant they just get it over and done with. Its annoying as im still waiting, and i know its most likely (99%) going to be a rejection, but i wish they would hurry up, so i can reply to the other universities.
Ive just received my Feedback... (2 weeks later :s) Physics Admits are really lucky ^^
"Dear Pierre,
I am sorry we have not been able to offer you a place to study Physics at Imperial. As you point out your predicted examination performance was very good but we received many more applications from candidates with predicted grades that met our entrance requirements than we have places for. This year we received over 1,100 and have only around 220 places. Regrettably we were unable to offer places to very many excellent candidates.
Thanks. Just to reaffirm your faith, I got one of those and I just found out that I had been made an offer.
Haha.. lets turn this into... ''who heard from Imperial last thread.'' b.t.w.. I am going to win.
MdKb_88 and Youyiyoutian have you not heard anything from the very first confimation email they sent out? I did email them later.. but the reply was that they had not yeat reached a decision on my application.
