It ocurred to me today that perhaps it's us who made the mistake in the first place. Well, I am a bit old-fashioned in terms of concats with people and I prefer calling to sending e-mails. I recently haven't done so because I didn't want to sound too pushy. But in all other cases (no offer on track, sending some materials for IELTS) I firstly contacted them by e-mail and if no answer got back to me within a week I called. Then, it took usually a day to solve my problem.

Therefore, if any of you has any problem, I think it will be better if you simply ring them up and ask straightforwardly.

Especially when it comes to doing c/w "I will start in a few days" turns into "I started 3 weeks later 2 days before the deadlune"
Did you guys say the Admin staff are all off on Easter break now? If so, when do they get back, the 31st?

DAmn, I tried to reach admissions tutor or his secreatry today with no success... I don't know when are they coming back, especially as e.g. the accommodation office is working...

nah, it wasnt; and it wasnt even my second. It's jsut that i received all 4 offers by the first week of january, and was made to wait for two months, just to be rejected. O well, A-Levels to revise for
Cool . Except for me, it was my first choice. :frown:

Got heard from imperial today, quite precise and heart-lifting. I was ensured that I showed sufficient language skills and I will be for 99.9% waived from taking IELTS. Admissions tutors are still on holiday as far as I know but try to contact them via e-mail as I did. it's worth trying.

dude that sucks. did you get an interview?have you considered a gap year?if you really want it and know you can get AAA...then again if you have another great uni waitin for you don't hesitate to have a great time and get an awesome degree in the process. but...if Imperial is the only place you reaally want to be, then maybe itd be best to take that year out. bober knows the score, he transfered from birmingham to imperial. ask him about it.

Heh, yep but at first i didn't consider transfering. It was an easy decision for me as i found the curriculum quite straightforward. And it isn't birmingham but Bradford, which is a bit lower

youre able to transfer from Bradford to Imperial? what year are you currently in at uni? i read somewhere on imperials website that transfers are not normally possible (except oxbridge).

not across years they're not!i assume it was into year 1...?and the oxbridge thing is only for medicine. 3d year onwards or something my knowledge is little on that but a tonne of oxbridge medics do it, i dont know if its part of their course?any one know?

ok its the clinical part that they flock to imperial for which is indeed 3rd year to 6th. i remember seeing a video on imperial medicine in which a reference is made to "the oxbridge lot" who came in the third year. perhaps its part of the course but i cba to look it up. but yes 3rd year would be when clinicals start and its not just oxbridge that can apply to go to imperial for that.

I am not directly "transfering" but moving rather. I will start from scratch - year 1. It is good to some extent, as year one is pretty demanding and lots of different material is taught.
Ah no need to knock Bradford, it's got some pretty good teaching scores for certain departments. Goddamn I am so smart.

So if you transfer do you still have a ton of fees to pay to your first uni?
