Oh tell us how you get on with that! I was toying with the idea of phoning them yesterday but in the end I decided not to because I've called them twice before and I was afraid they might get a bit pissed off. :p:

Sorry, Physics. Without being cruell, i have heard that maths have "given out most of their offers". There's still time though.

Oh it is all right. We still have a lot of time to decide for our Firm and Insurance offer right?? I just need their letter in order to decide!
Yeh. We've still got a while. I'm still waiting on Durham even though i'm almost certainly going to turn it down.

Tell me how the phone call went and what they said!
Guess I'm on the list too ... but not very excited really I got more important thing on my mind right now, but I don't really know why they're taking so much time...
I think Imperial is ignoring me. Still no news from them. :frown:

Maybe because I applied quite late (12th Jan) I'm at the bottom of the list somewhere and won't hear from them until april or something.
When I went to the open day they said the get back to people between November and March.

Good luck Bored, I'd give you a good luck charm but mine only half-worked.
I sent my application on the 27th September and still not heard from them

Aww, I heard about you being offered Geophysics. It must be a really difficult decision, I suppose in one way it would be nicer to reject you outright than offer you another course so you wouldn't have to choose between your first choice course or first choice university but you never know, it's entirely possible that you'll end loving whichever you choose. These things have a way of working themselves out.

Not heard from them at all? =o As in no acknowledgement and no interview?
27th...wow. I was still wondering what font I should use in my personal statement at that time (shows how much I knew about the procedure!)

And yes Bored, it is a conundrum and I hope it does work out for the best. I can only hope. During these past few hours I've been playing on my TI-83 and eating chocolates - a sign of how confused I am.

Well yeah I was invited to an interview, but I couldn't make it and I did tell them...

Well at least they've made contact then, but since you applied in September you think they'd have offered you another interview date or something by now.

I'm going to London on wednesday for my UCL interview, shall I pop into Imperial and ask them if they've looked at my application? :p:
UCL is a nice place ... and this is what the admin tutor said to me:

"Some students may put down Imperial and say that is poor in comparison to UCL; we've got all the girls, more interesting people etc etc. Let me assure you that is not the view of this college, only the private thoughts of students."

I couldn't stop laughing.

Yeh, the UCL guy begged us not to repeat anything the UCL students said to us in private about Imperial at our Imperial interviews - apparently they got a few complaints from Imperial last year.
And that too ^

This thread has bought a smile on my face. This and Frasier.
Thats soo odd. Why would everyone at UCL be talking about Imperial anyway? Shouldn't they just focus on impressing people and convincing them to go to UCL.

its their way of convincing people to go to UCL instead of imperial ie. "imperial has no girls and everyone is boring, come to UCL instead"
Well I had an interview at UCL and I did not like it one bit but thats just me.
