I'm currently studing City and Guilds Level 2 diploma Electrical Installation. I have 4 C grade GCSEs. Can I get a advanced appenticeship with only 4 C grade GCSEs. Also should I wait until I start on level 3 in September and then go for a apprenticeship.

It'll depend on the apprenticeship provider's requirements. If you have your eye on a specific scheme, enquire with them to see if they'd be able to accommodate you as they'll all vary.

Most of the time (or on my advanced scheme) a level 3 is completed as part of it anyway, so there might not be any need for you to start it on your own in september if you're leaning towards an apprenticeship anyway

Any problems, or more questions, just let me know

    Hi there,

Each employer will have a different set of criteria for you to hit when you apply for their apprenticeship vacancies. For example, some may ask for specific GCSE's graded A*-C and some may ask for a level 2 equivalent only. I would suggest researching each apprenticeship scheme carefully to make sure you are eligible to apply.

It is completely up to you whether you want to start an apprenticeship now or after your level 3 qualifiaction. If you don't find an apprenticeship that appeals to you before you start in September, no rush, you now have the time period between now and the end of your level 3 qualification to find an apprenticehsip that is right for you!

If you have any further questions, we will be happy to help! Good luck!
