When you're disabled it can be difficult to be active. You might not be able to walk everywhere, might suffer from a lot of pain, and it can feel like perhaps exercise just isn't for you. I know I've felt that way in the past, but it's really important to remember that there are things that you can do and that exercise can be really beneficial to your mental health and some physical conditions.

I find yoga, when I'm not having bad trouble with my joints, can be really helpful. I can't do every movement, particularly when I'm not doing well, but there's a set of movements that I can do and I find it really helpful in setting me up for the day.

I also try to do things liek running errands towards the end of the day so that I can get off the tram a stop early and walk a little further, things like that, and I don't have to worry about being too sore or too tired to get through anything else that day (like uni).

Is there anything you feel works well for you? Do you have any tips to share?

I've found that it really helps to find something active that you enjoy and makes you feel good. Also finding the activity in everyday stuff and using that to your advantage. For me it's mostly working out what I already do (which is mostly "hidden activity" and trying to do a little more of it.

Yes! Hoping to get back to the gym soon because I used to really enjoy that, even if I can't do a whole lot, but finding activity in your everyday life and increasing that a bit is so helpful
