How many years will student finance cover someone? I have done a foundation course, I am not on my final year and want to do a PGCE afterwards. The Foundation yearwas covered by student finance but it wss not the full £9000. Will they still provide funds for the PGCE year?

    Hi Garrow94,

Student Finance England will not fund a second degree unless it is classed as an exception course.

You will be pleased to know that PGCE courses are exempt from the Equivalent Level Qualification and previous study rules and classed as an exception course.

As long as it is a teacher training course which last 2 years or less and you do not already hold Qualified Teacher Status QTS.

    Regards Rona
