Hiya, I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on whether to study mechanical or automotive engineering at Uni.

Would automotive engineering restrict my job opportunities in the future?

I would like to work for an f1 team in the future but which course would increase my chances of getting into f1?

Thank you in advance for your help

Go for mechanical at a university which does formula student and join the team for it, you'll have similar if not better prospects in the automotive industry plus plenty of backups if you decide it's not your thing.

I believe F1 does target universities for recruitment, but I can't remember which ones, so this may also be something to look into.
