Hey, I am 15 years old and on 25th November I will be 16. I am interested to study medicine at Oxford university when I'll leave the school but then I will be 17 years and 11 months old and not 18. Do you think this will be a problem?

Unfortunately it makes you ineligible for entry in the year in which you are 18.

Although the two pages below are slightly contradictory, you fall just outside the age limit. I would suggest asking directly, but I wouldn't be hopeful.

Why are they contradictory? They say: "Your application will not be shortlisted unless you will be at least 18 years old on 1st November in the year you are intending to start the course." which I think is quite explicit.

The first one says you need to be 18 at the start of the course, the second says by 1st November.

Fair enough although (1) neither would allow OP to take the course and (2) I'd trust the one giving the exact date.

I would contact them direct. Its not totally impossible they'd make an exception, (its all to do with insurance regulation regarding patient contact, something Oxford only does because the GMC makes them) although they are bound by regulation and it may unfortunately be an absolute 'no'.

Some other med schools will take you, although it limits you a lot unfortunately.
