    I'm trying to use the ComplexExpand function on wolfram alpha to find the real and imaginary parts of the the equation for the RLC circuit with the impedance (Z) satisfying the equation shown in the image.

    I cannot get wolfram to recognise w,R or L as real variables,it just interprets 1/z = 1

    How can I analyse this on Wolfram?
