Currently in the process of giving evidence of my address.

Does anyone know if SFE want a letter for every year between the 5 year period (2013-2018) or just one letter?

    Hi Anita,

Just need to ask a question.

What type of evidence are you sending to show your 5 year residency?

    Thanks

I’m thinking of sending letters from secondary school + sixth form as evidence

    Hi Anita,

    Acceptable evidence would be,

Attendance letters from schools or colleges must contain dates they attended ‘from and to’ and be date specific DD/MM/YYYY. If you receive a letter with the start date SEPT 2013 for example, default to 30/09/2013 and request the missing period. Letter must be on headed paper and be either hand signed or have a digital signature.

If a student is required to provide addresses for 01/09/2012 – 01/09/2015 and the school letter starts from 12/09/2012 for example, this is acceptable and we do not need to request the 12 missing days as the student would have been required to be in the UK to register to attend the school. Anything over 15 days from the start of the period would need the missing dates requesting.

School letters that have been sent to the parents about school activities are acceptable for the date they are postmarked; we cannot accept a letter addressed to the parents with no mention of the student.

    Thanks

    Catherine

So, if I’m understanding correctly, I must provide one letter from school for every month within the period of 2013-2018?

    Hi Anita,

Yes, that is correct, as long as the evidence covers the full period this will be accepted.

    Thanks

    Catherine
