Government funding for Course fee and maintence loan

I'm a mature student. I obtained my first degree in South Africa (birth country), no debt owing. I would like to further my studies in either Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, would I be eligible for a course fee loan and also a maintenance loan? I'm a British citizen. Thanks in advance. Tracy

Hi Tracy,

You will be pleased to know that both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy fall under the category of Allied Health Professional Courses as healthcare courses.

Allied Health Professional Courses will be exempt from previous study and ELQ rules.

Therefore even if you already hold a degree or have previous study you will still be eligible to access the full package of funding.

Thanks Rona
