I did my ukcat on August 20th and then started my personal statement, however I had already planned parts of it out. Don’t worry most unis don’t take the personal statement into consideration when making offers

tbh i started mine in mid september after i got back to school. i wouldn't advise you do to that because then you'll be stressed....but it can be done. ideally do it over the summer

Medicine has the early deadline, so you'll probably need a finished PS by the end of September. However, if you have work experience lined up over the summer, then I think you have a strong argument to make with your school for not starting it in June. -

For my school, the UCAS stuff in June was literally filling in everything but the personal statement(to get it out the way). So that's just personal information and qualifications.
I started my PS for medicine properly in september, however began drafting what I wanted to include over summer(based on some work experience). -

Start it after your exams are over in the summer. I didn’t even write mine until 3 weeks before the UCAS deadline
