Only knowing you are over with your mental problems after it's kind of self-cured watch

I haven't been to a psychiatrist before and I honestly have been wanting to for like the past year, but I think I've had depression and high anxiety since 2017 January, for multiple reasons, my family, friends, ex-boyfriend, school, etc. and it took me nearly an year to realize it after I started taking IB Art (My mom hated me doing anything art-related so I couldn't quite get my hands on that kind of stuff unless it was a course in school) and life's been better for a while. Art is therapeutic after all.

    Anyone had a similar experience??
It's quite funny and sad at the same time cuz I've asked my friends this year and they didn't know until I told them about this.

While this hasn't happened to me, I think it must happen to a lot of people. Iirc, one in four experiences a mental health problem in a given year and one in four doesn't see a psychiatrist so they may have the same experience as you.

It's great that you found something that helps; keep it up if you can.
