You don't know how to use Google, not even to do basic searches. I suggest YOU won't need to do a TC because it's not the career path for you.

Technically a training contract will no longer exist (although they technically don’t exist now - it’s a period of recognised training).

You will have to accumulate 2 years of qualifying work experience to be able to qualify, on top of passing stages 1 and 2 of the SQE. But that experience can be accumulated before you have even graduated.

Reality is many firms will continue to offer the “period of recognised training” and that will be two years. However many firms will offer shorter periods of qualifying work, particularly to deal with fluctuations in work - a bit like off cycle internships in investment banking. This is because one of the major changes with the new process is that you can do your QWE with up to 4 different organisations.

The equivalent of a TC will be the norm though - getting your work experience before graduating and passing SQE 1 and 2 are unlikely to make you employable.

If only that passion translated to your researching, you'd not look a complete tit.

Oh well... the OP might not exactly be the type of person I like helping on here, but maybe someone else will stumble across the thread and find my Google first answer helpful anyway.

Having a go at one another seems even less productive anyway.

We don't know exactly how SQE will end up. If someone finds this thread in 2 years' time, they might be better served Googling the most recent releases than relying on guesses and explanations based on how SQE looks to stand from today's perspective.

    Indeed.

But there will probably be several more threads about the subject by then that they can also stumble across.

Most threads on here could be answered by Google - it won’t stop people asking the questions, nor people answering them, and surely that’s really what the purpose of this place is 🤷🏻*♀️
