Say a woman is in her mid 30's - 40's and didn't have a clue about dating or how to attract guys through her twenties. She was very athletic but dressed like a tomboy/lad, didn't know how to style her hair and was very quiet/no social skills so no one was interested in her through her 20's.
If she improved her game in her mid 30's - 40's, maintained a slim athletic body, dressed more feminine and stylish and ensured her hair wasn't too scruffy would she have more of a chance of attracting a man to either date/serious relationship. Or would it become even more difficult?

I have a theory that as single people get older, they begin to lower their standards and settle for less than they would've previously. It's a race against time before you become Miss Havisham...
Think of it like the bargain bin at ASDA. If the bin is stacked high with loads of reduced cakes, you're gonna grab the nice, non-crushed ones. But lets now say you were pushed out the way of the bargain bin and the only reduced items left now is the squished Hovas bread. Can still make a nice sandwich with the bread, but it's not quite a box of McVitee's Vietnamese whirls for 59p.
