Got an unconditional offer in biology last week! International applicant so still figuring out the Scottish curricular structure. Seems like the biology course has a lot of options for marine biology. I'm more interested in plant biology -- so looking for a lot of the basics around cell and molecular but also plant structures, systems. Would love any insights on how much this is available and its quality at St. Andrews. I did see a a couple plant evolutionary researcher on the website but didn't see much plant stuff referenced in the 'modules'Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I'm sorry, I don't really know much about the plant biology course :/ At they open day they said that everyone does the same course for year 1 and half of year 2 and then you specialise, so I guess it doesn't matter what you choose, everyone starts with the same base knowledge.
They'll probably explain more on the offer holders day or if you email them.
Well done for your offer! If you don't mind me asking, where are you from?

I got an offer from them about a month ago for BSc Biology but I am a RUK student so that might be why it was so early. Fingers crossed for you!
