Many students in year 8 are starting to choose their GCSE options. I'm one of those students and I would like to know what subjects may benefit a future in architecture. I already know maths and physics are a must and I have already chose art as one of my two options. I'm contemplating on choosing computer science or photography. Does anyone have an advice on which options are beneficial for a future in architecture?

The key when choosing is to do subjects you can get good grades in but are also useful for your intended degree. In this case they need to enable you to do the relevant A levels, which in turn need to help you get onto the degree course. They normally split into science based A levels and design ones.

Start checking the unis you might be interested in to see what they require. You will start to see the A levels they have in common. maths being the essential on.
