So I’m a careful driver and have been driving for four years without any problems but whilst I was out today and looked in my mirror I saw an ambulance approaching so I slowed down and the ambulance passed. It was like a junction so there were going to be cars about to turn left which meant that it was safest to just move from the position I was in. I then drove through to ensure that it was clear for them. It was unfoetunately red but I just don’t know whether it changed seconds before or not. But yes whilst doing so I unintentionally drove through that red light. I later checked and there was a red light camera there. I’m worried as I’ve got no previous convictions or points. Some people have said they don’t always work but I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences?

    It depends where you live.

Some countries allow drivers to pass a red light carefully if an emergency vehicle needs to pass.
