My roots are much darker than my ends, giving a natural ombré. I have never dyed my hair ; it is 100% natural. How can I make my roots match the ends? (no dyes please) would prefer to make roots lighter rather than ends darker

In order to go lighter you will need to use hydrogen peroxide. There have been various spray products which are supposed to lighten gradually, but they can be very damaging and often give quite a yellow result.

One suggestion; if you lighten the top then you will have to touch up roots often to keep the look which could get expensive.

I’d suggest going to your hairdresser and having highlights throughout the hair or something to make it match more end-to-end but if you don’t want to dye it doesn’t really leave you any options.

Also plenty of people (including me) due to try and get the ombré so I’d probably be keeping it if it’s fairly obvious!

don't know if there's a way to do it without dye other than i know people put lemon juice on their hair and then sit out in the sun and that apparently lightens it? not entirely sure if it works though
