'I met a traveler from an antique land, he said..'
It's a narrative and like a story being told over again.

'Look on my works, ye mighty and despair'
    Imperative verb 'look'
    still has that controlling tone
Links to when pharaohs were powerful in Egypt and they opposed God
despair is ironic as he is wasted and destroyed, nothing to fear

    'King of Kings'
    Alliteration
    repetition
    he conquered other kings/challenged them
his power is strong but he isn't alive

sorry if they aren't that good, I don't remember it that much since I did it a couple years back
    hope this helps

One little snippet from Mr Bruff

The poem incorporates the structure of the Petrarchan sonnet, however also includes the ABAB rhyme scheme of the Shakespearean sonnet as well as elements of modern sonnet structure. This symbolises that nothing, even poetry lasts forever.

Well, no. His power was strong, and he boasted of it (through, for instance the statue) but both he and the statue are no more. The point of the poem is that, no matter how powerful you, are you are fated to turn to dust, be forgotten and leave little trace of your existence, much less your mighty deeds.
