I am thinking of taking biology as an a level in a 1 year access course. I am not the best but not the worse at it, but I need to do it in order to study the course I want to do at university. So I wanted to ask how difficult biollogy really is and what you would advise me to do?
Is it worth risking?

Biology requires you to remember a LOT of information. But it's quite interesting, and I plan to continue taking it onto the next year regardless. If you don't mind memorising a lot of things with precision, then take it on. The only annoying thing is that you have to use specific words and phrases to get the marks unlike in GCSEs where you can get away with saying something similar without specific vocabulary.

Biology is very much content-heavy but it is a really interesting subject, if you stay on top of the work it's definitely manageable. Make you sure you know what's going on because it tends to move on quite fast so you can get lost.
The mark schemes are VERY specific so knowing key terminology is essential!
I really enjoy biology, it's a fascinating subject and a very worthwhile one
