I was just reading a thread from a long time ago and I was just curious about what unis think of A level retakes and someone said that they are struggling to get a job even though they got a first in the degree that they were studying because of having poor A level grades.

I can't seem to find an answer. can someone help me

Most unis will take you if you retake but there might be problems if you are aiming for medicine or oxbridge

I've heard of some employers have UCAS points filters for graduate roles so extremely poor A-Level grades might hinder you. Probably not a big deal though.

re: retakes, it depends on the university. Eg. Edinburgh can be a bit pissy when it comes to retakes. Check the university's website for more information or ring up their admissions hotline.
