    Rant and kinda questions
I can almost constantly hear the person who lives in the room next to me. As his voice goes through the walls kinda vibrating. He's generally loud as he talks so I feel like I can't really do anything about it. But it means I'm unable to go to bed until he stops talking.

I know there's suggestions of listen to music or have some other noise but I'm someone who likes silence and darkness. The occasional thump from around I can deal with but his constant voice through my wall. I'm the only one who has to put up with it too since I'm the only one by him like this. It's bloody unfair. I can't say anything until 11 either cus that's the quiet time but in turn means I can't get sleep before that time if he's talking.
I've told him enough times but I'd say he partly can't do something about it cus generally loud voice. Though some reason my other side of the room his voice doesn't go through the walls and is still able to talk to his friends...
Although the loud one had been at his talking till 2am at one point where I snapped and in the group chat of our block asked him to shush. In a somewhat petty manner (of which he used the one time he heard me through the wall apparently althoUgh the roommate to the other side said they didn't so eh). So yeah this was 2am when I sent it. He saw it. Continued to 4am where I sent a somewhat more rude message calling him inconsiderate as it was 4am he knows I can hear him through the wall and he still continued to. I have trouble sleeping anyway half the time and being unable to sleep because of him it makes me want to cry and rip his head off tbh. I can take the noise in the day like yeah fair enough it's day time go wild can't say anything. But as it reaches night I just want to sleep and I can't. I've wanted to complain about the noise in a sense (when it goes past 11) but it's one person that only I can hear due to room positioning so I feel like I can't do anything about it. Meh meh meh basically is how I feel about it. And since the inconsiderate stuff that happened I haven't even been able to go near him the fact that it wasn't acknowledged whatsoever. Also he's the kinda guy to put a welcome mat outside his door in halls.
Definitely have a huge bias in not liking him but thanks for this rant and any ideas how to put up with it or get it in his head to maybe please try learn an inside voice or at least try be quieter and think of others later on. (Noise cancelling headphones have been thought of and hopefully I could find some sometime..)
Also anyone else ever had this?

Ear plugs? I use them in halls at the moment and they're a sanity saver.

When someone has a loud voice there isn't a lot you can do. It's not going to feel reasonable to be banned from talking after 11pm and sending group chat messages isn't the way to go about it. Knocking on his door would be a better solution, also harder to ignore if every 15 minutes you're knocking and knocking. It would be better to have a friendly discussion and try and find a middle ground.

Yeah just a bit of a pain. :/ The group chat message I sent was because when he apparently heard me one time that's how he went about it.. So I guess I stooped to be just as petty. I guess I'm kinda awkward at talking and such so wanted to avoid.. But that's no excuse really. I think one of my other flat mates may have said something because he seems to actually be making an effort a lil bit more now.. As in he's quieter slightly. Learning an inside voice I guess. :') If it happens again at some stupid late time I'll try talk rather than send something petty. >> Thanks!
