Well, to begin with, I’m starting to get increasing responsibility in terms of education and also with what I do in general.
I want to be a good catholic because my parents are both creationist and I attend a catholic institution and, even thought most of my friends are atheist, I still want to be religious.

    But I think I’m gay

I hate this, and I don’t care if people don’t like the fact that I hate my homosexuality but that’s that - it makes me feel distant from my family and also very insecure in terms of relationship prospects. I wouldn’t be able to procreate if I were to follow through with my desires.
I feel that I depend on my family a lot and I don’t trust my friends a lot and so I don’t know what I would do if i tried to come out to my family.

I’m stuck in between fulfilling my religious duty, so to speak, and potentially not being true to myself.

Any advice or comments on what I should do in this situation?

Read and talk to these people, then they might help you sort out your feelings and find a compromise that suits you. I understand you are confused and conflicted, but you wont be the first and people find a way through that suits them, although it may be a compromise. See how you get on.
