    Hi,

I need an honest opinion whether I have a shot a graduate entry medicine or not. I have ABB at A level (Geography A, Biology B, Chemistry B) and I am currently studying a BSc Pharmacology degree in 2nd year on track for a 2:1. I previously applied to medicine in year 12 and achieved a 690 on the UKCAT but didn't get in due to my A level grades so I initially chose to study pharmacy instead, quickly realised I didn't want to be a pharmacist so swapped to pharmacology to pursue graduate entry medicine. I have lots of work experience doing welfare at festivals over the past few years and I have worked in a pharmacy for an extended period of time. What I would like is for people to evaluate whether with my profile I have much of a chance in getting into graduate entry medicine with my record?

    Many Thanks

No one can. If you meet the entry requirements apply.

You haven't told us where you intend to apply. Do you have a chance? Sure, you're on track for a 2:1 and doing a degree that will most likely be accepted by all medical schools. But that chance can easily become close to 0% if you apply to somewhere where your application profile is not strong.

Your academic profile sounds good for a lot of GEPs.

Do you have any medical work experience or volunteering? Working at a pharmacy or festival isn't quite the same as actual hospital shadowing.
