    Well without knowing what practical it is we can’t give particularly specific advise but In general make sure that you take all the readings that you need to, do repeats if possible so that a mean can be calculated, check equipment for zero errors (this obviously depend on what equipment it is but for balances etc it’s something to look out for) make sure that you read the practical sheet properly and understand all the steps and that everything is set up correctly before you switch things on etc and it should be fine. Also make sure you take note of what units something was when you are measuring eg if the multimeter is on mv or v
