    Hi there,
I hope you'll be able to help.

I have a Migrant Worker Status and I am currently changing my job. There is going to be a 6 days gap between two jobs and I was wondering if my status won't be rejected because of that.
I understand that I have to send my P45 and a new contract as soon as I've got them to update Migrant Worker's records.
But could you please confirm that it is okay to have this gap between jobs, I am really stressed.

    Many thanks
    Aleks

    Hi Aleks,

The 6 day gap between your employers won't make a difference to your application, but we won't make payments until evidence of new employment has been received. We will require a copy of the P45 from the previous employer or a letter from previous employer confirming the employment end date. If you are unable to provide this we can accept a statement of earnings from HMRC. From the new employer, we will need a copy of your contract of employment and a letter from your employer confirming that the contract accurately represents the hours and terms on which you work with any available payslips.

    Thanks

    Catherine
