for as long as I can remember I've been self conscious about my weight and appearance. I'm not overweight or obese but have some extra padding here and there. I've tried so many ways to lose weight but nothing seems to work. Suggestions?

Have you made a habit of being active? Or go to the gym at least 5 days a week? Especially with weight when you're not obese, it takes a lot of time to get rid of. You have to put in the effort consistently for a long period of time to see results.

Calories in vs calories out, my friend. Also, physical transformation involves a lifestyle change as opposed to 'trying' different things - you've got to immerse yourself in healthy, long-term habits such as eating better food, exercising regularly and getting enough sleep.

    You got this.

Instead of focusing on the weight, why not try focusing on toning up the 'padding' as you called it! A pound of muscle takes up far less space than a pound of fat, so even if you weigh the same you could lose inches! I was in a similar situation a few years ago, I ate healthier but still reasonably big portion sizes, and did a lot of strength training e.g. squats, ab workouts etc. Good luck!
