I have really struggled with my first year due to my mental health being really bad, I do not think I will pass the may mocks (that go on uni apps) and because of that am looking to restart. My main question is how will this affect my Uni prospects? I have emailed a few unis and there answers are not clear. I am dealing with possible OCD that has quite literally took control of my life and I am in a really bad state mentally - I am starting therapy and will spend (if i leave) the 6 months working on myself and achieving better grades in the new year. I am aiming for 3 A*s and am looking at Bristol law, UCL law, Durham law, Exeter law and Edinburgh law. I am hoping that I will be able to apply for an extenuating circumstances form if they question my retake, but i'm just very stressed and worried since a good Uni is everything i've been working for. Should I retake and how will it affect me? Does my circumstances come into account?

Any advice would be much appreciated <3

It doesnt affect your uni prospects if you retake year 12, whether or not you had extenuating circumstances. Don't worry about it, i know people who are at very good unis right now even though they completely failed their first year when they were completely fine. If you get the grades and put in a good application they won't care if you had to try again.
