    It depends on two things. 1. The way you naturally learn and 2 the subject.

    1. You need to know what sort of learner you are - Audio, Visual etc.
    2. Some subjects like maths need a different approach.

    Here's a general over view

    Study in 20 minutes bits with 5 minute activity breaks in between.
    Revise 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months to get it in to the long term memory.
    Make notes in class and be engaged in class -listen to the teacher.

    Here's a few methods you may wish to look at

    Memory paalce
    Loci
    Roman Room
    Journey
    Parrot fashion
    Flash cards
    Mind maps/spider charts
    Dance moves
    Poems
    Acronyms
    Rhymes
    Posters
    Post it notes around the house


    Remember to keep a daily to do list of things to get done, also a diary with the count down to the exam dates.
