    Hello,
Am a non EU and married to an EU MIGRANT.
I am applying for a tuition fee and using the EU17N form. At the moment, I can't apply for a maintenance loan because my husband is not supportive.
Is there a way of getting financial help?

    Hi monanitah,

Just need to as a few questions.

    What country are you from?
    Is your husband working?
    When does your course start?

    Thanks

    Hi Monanitah,

If your husband is working or self employed in the UK and will continue to work throughout your studies, you may be eligible to apply as Spouse of an EU/EEA Migrant Worker.

To meet the eligibility criteria, you need to have been resident in the EU/EEA for at least 3 years prior to the start of your course and you must also have been ordinary resident in England on the first day, of the first academic year of your course.

Student Finance England students, who wish to apply as a Migrant Worker, should apply as a full time home student online or by paper.

If your husband is an EU/EEA national who is living and working in the UK andyou meet the Migrant Worker standard eligibility we will request the following evidence dependent on the employment status.

    • The students original Passport or National ID Card
    • The spouses original Passport or National ID Card
    • Croatian Nationals Only - Migrant Worker’s Permit (yellow/blue or purple card)
    • A photocopy of the marriage certificate
    • If the student is not an EU/EEA National we will need to see Home Office Visas to cover the entire UK residency period

    along with employment evidence.

The application they should complete will be a PN1,

    The paper application should be posted to;

    EU Migrant Worker Team
    Student Finance England
    PO Box 89
    Darlington
    DL1 9AZ

    Regards Rona
