can there be more moles of a product than a reactant in a closed system?

    reaction is PCl(5) (reversible sign) PCl(3) + Cl(2)

there was 3 moles of the reactant that firmed 1.75 moles of PCl3 and 1.75 moles of Cl2.

how is this possible? sorry if sound really dumb
