This is a message to calm everyone down on the ARE YOU MY SUBJECTS GOOD ENOUGH? ? OH NO I'M TAKING 'SOFT' SUBJECTS!! debate

I am aware Oxbridge has its own preference for courses but even for Russell Group universities as long as you meet the entry requirements and write a bombing personal statement there is no reason for you not to get at least some sort of offer, depending on how competitive the course is.

Yes, some A Levels are harder than others. YES, STEM is going to be harder than Media studies but when 'soft' subjects are taken in conjunction with more academic based subjects MOST unis only want to see the passion you have to study your choice of subject and if you meet requirements.

Nowadays with unis so expensive and people opting out of yhe university route, some universities will be desperate or thankful for an intake. This doesn't apply to competitive places for obvious reasons but for people doubting themselves and getting insecure UNIVERSITIES WANT YOU! The application process is not some sort of death trap and you are not worth less than some one else just because they have x subject or experience and you have y.

I am not undermining the competitive nature of prestigious unis but for the moSt part the difference between soft and hard subjects shouldn't be so much of a snob row on TSR.

    Adios amigos
