I have an interview for my sixth form, i was just wondering if there is an expectation of clothing, someone at my school said you should go in your school uniform, but another person said go in something smart. Another friend said that he was asked to answer a question on the spot, which kind of gets me nervous because im not that confident i could answer a question on the spot like that. Any insight will be appreciated, thanks

Is the school a state school or an independent school? If it is independent then normally they will ask questions on the spot in my experience. Either way you should dress smart e.g blazer, shirt and tie.

Wearing something smart would put you on the safe side.

You don't have to overdo it, a jumper over a shirt and tie will do.

Most people's interviews tend to centre around why they chose that sixth form and why they chose those subjects and a talk on what they want to do in the future. It's often a personal interview. Although this is my experience of state sixth forms, no idea what private ones are like.
