    intergrate the top curve minus the bootom curve.
    i.e. intergrate (3 sqr x)-(x+2) between the x co-ordinates worked out in part 1.

    You can integrate the top curve and then remove the trapezium underneath it, which is the same as integrating the top curve subtract the bottom curve.
