I bought and sold used gift cards, looked for discounts on designer clothes, tried to save energy by using cold water to wash my laundry, skipping the hairdryer when I had time to let it dry naturally, turning off all the lights when I left the house and never leaving my fridge open for more than a few seconds. I exercised at home, bought used things.

A handful of small changes to your routines can save a lot of energy and money.

I generally save any 1, 2 or 5 pence coins. I could up that by getting rid of anything below £1 at the end of each day.

I once saved a pound when I was buying something which costed £5 I had £4 but I didn't have a pound coin I only had pennies I pulled them out and the shopkeeper just said it's ok. I think he gave up as soon as he saw all those pennies.

I implement a poo charge where I save £1 each time I have a poo and 50p for every minute I am after five minutes.
